Ritchie Blackmore ~ Born Richard Hugh Blackmore on 14 April 1945 in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England. He is mainly a British guitarist and songwriter. He was also one of the original members of Deep Purple, playing jam-style hard rock music that mixed guitar riffs and organ sounds. During his solo career, he established a neoclassical metal band called Rainbow.
He later formed the traditional folk rock project Blackmore’s Night along with his current wife Candice Night where they are the only permanent members.
